Pros: There are good lunch specials and the service is nice. Their tortilla soup is great and the hamburger meat platter has a great taste.Cons: It's an old school place, it needs a bit more light.
Mamacitas Restaurant & Bar
About this place
In Clint, Mamacitas Restaurant & Bar reads less like a checklist stop and more like a local table you hear about from someone who already ate there. a family-friendly room frames the visit; a neighborhood pace keeps you from rushing the meal.
The cooking favors clarity over trend: house specialties, plates built for sharing, and the kitchen's daily strengths show the kitchen's habits more than a marketing list. Seasoning stays bold without burying the ingredients.
Service reads as attentive without hovering - the kind of room where questions about the day's specials get straight answers. Weeknights usually run quieter than weekends. The listing address is 1580 Clint - San Elizario, Clint, TX 79836.
That is the Platefolk brief in one stop: Mamacitas Restaurant & Bar in Clint, a solid meal on the table, and a visit that still feels like someone else's good tip.
Before you visit, skim recent neighbor notes on the listing and confirm hours on the door. Platefolk keeps this page as a field guide, not a frozen brochure - the best proof is still sitting down for a meal.
What we value here is consistency: a kitchen that repeats its strengths, a room that does not treat guests like tickets, and a Mamacitas Restaurant & Bar visit that still feels worth the trip across town. Bring curiosity, order something the staff recommends, and leave a short note afterward so the next diner arrives wiser.

Second time eating here and the food is phenomenal. Ordered the sirloin tacos each time and the taste is on point. Also got a tamale which was very good 🔥👍
The waitresses was very friendly and helpful. Its a restaurant and bar, yes children are allowed. They have plenty of seating and if you want a menu that is not digital (scan QR code on table) you have to ask for it. The beer was cold and the food was really good. Its a good choice for anyone traveling that wants a good meal. If you are staying at the hotel nearby, just call and place your order for pickup. The burgers, and the tacos were really really good.
The night was so exciting so amazing with karaokeSary as DJ had it on play. The service was on point had Emmanuel & Robert as our servers were great. Everyone takes care of you.
The burrito I ordered was literally only meat inside a tortilla! Likeeee, what? The food was bland and not worth it.But it was cheap. My brother also ordered a taco and it was very bland.I’m from California so this is off but maybe that’s how it is in Texas lol.
Delicious Mexican food with authentic flavors. Everything we ordered was well prepared and full of taste. The staff were attentive, and the location near the hotel made it even better.
I had the lunch chicken fajitas and chose the tortilla Soup instead of a salad as an go along…and it was probably the best tortilla soup I’ve ever had in my life! This place is in my top three Mexican restaurants and I’ve been traveling all over the country in my motorhome so then do a few restaurants.
Overall, the food is great at a great price. The service was a little slow. And it seems that they can't handle a lot of people at a time. The waitress apologized for it being busy and them being short staffed.Despite the slow service the food really made up for it.
